First Impressions of the Optimum 9400 Blender

The Optimum 9400 blender has been recognized as the No.1 Vitamix rival. So I was excited to be invited as a Friend of Froothie by the New Zealand distributor of the Optimum 9400 to put this powerful blender to the test. In just a few days I have created so much more than just smoothies – everything from black bean brownies, to sauces, soups and desserts.

If you like this, mouseover the top right hand corner to pin it!

I’ve only had it for about a week, but this is what I’m digging about the Optimum 9400 Blender so far:

  • The BPA Free 2L jug, big enough to create large batches of healthy soups, desserts and smoothies for the whole family
  • The tamper tool
  • Everyone’s fruit and veggie intake is up, its easy to blend anything from spinach to beetroot right into a smoothie
  • The amount of time saved, a soup takes about 10-15 minutes from start to finish and it comes up smooth, creamy and warm
  • The simple to use variable speed control
  • Easy to clean, just whizz on variable setting 8 with 1L of water and a drop of soap
  • How easy and quick it is to create healthy and tasty snacks, meals and smoothies
  • The free book of inspirational smoothies, soups and desserts that comes free with every blender
  • This blender is crushing ice like a boss! Many blenders claim to do this, but not all truly do!

To find out what else I’m digging about the Optimum 9400 blender and to hear my first impressions, check out the video below. Hint: I loooove this blender – it’s changing our entire family’s lives!

Best Use of a Canadian Passport

I remember when I first started really traveling and meeting people from other countries. I sometimes jealously thought to myself, I wish my passport allowed me to stay indefinitely in such and such country or enter bladibla country and to work with little paper work. It was a silly thing to feel jealous about, seeing as I never really had the means (or money) to say stay in a tropical paradise like Mallorca for an indefinite amount of time. But, hey I couldn’t help but grumble when my Canadian passport didn’t even make it easy for me to work here in the US. Now a European passport, that’s a key to the world…

Well today – on Canada Day – I read about this pretty cool use for a Canadian Passport – to open a fully stocked beer fridge. Yes, you read correctly. If you are Canadian, or have ventured to Canada, then you know Molson Beer, it’s a staple to my brothers and sisters north of the border. Molson is the Canadian beer brand famously know for the I AM CANADIAN campaign.

Can you believe I am already at the end of month 4? I sure can’t and I am truly amazed and happy with how much this program has changed my life, I am already starting to feel sad about it being over – even though I still have 2 months to go. So, I promised myself this month that I wouldn’t babble in the update video, but unfortunately I did! I wasn’t able to edit much, so I will break it down for you below in case you find it too painful to watch.

I talk about the 4 Ps – Plateaus, Perspective, Putting it Out there and Pace.

I was lucky enough to be transported to the magical land of tiny people who live in the forest at a screening of Epic thanks to The Moms. Armando “Pitbull” Pérez was on hand to introduce the movie, talk about living your dreams and to tell all the kids in the audience to listen to their moms!
