Being born and raised in Montreal, I am a big fan of St Patrick’s Day. I’m not sure if this is still true, but growing up, Montreal had the second largest parade in North America after Boston. So every year we headed out in the bitterly cold March weather to enjoy this iconic event. As I grew older, the day also involved Apple Cider and green beer. Anyhow, I digress…I had a look around the net to see what’s on offer in Brooklyn and started with the main Family friendly places that I have been so far, this is what I found.

Brooklyn St Patrick’s Day Parade
This year Brooklyn’s St Patrick’s Day Parade is on Sunday, March 18 and starts at 1PM on from 15th Street & Prospect Park West, then goes down 15th Street to 7th Avenue, along 7th Avenue, to Garfield Place, up Garfield Place To Prospect Park West, and Along Prospect Park West To 15th Street. I love a good parade, so might see you there!

St Patrick’s Day in Brisbane is a much smaller affair but those who celebrate usually get right into it. I have never seen the Sham Rocks cookies before and I love them! I’ll try them out next year.
