Shaklee 180™ Update: I Reached My Goal Weight, Now What?


disclosure: I am part of the Shaklee Corporation blogger program but was under no obligation to post this post. I am posting because I would like to give my lovely readers a chance to experience Shaklee 180™ .  People following the weight-loss portion of the Shaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week. I am also a Shaklee Independent Distributor.

If you watched my month 5 video update, you’ll know by now that I have reached my goal weight! So now what? Well with one month left on the Shaklee 180™ blogger program I figure I have one month left to kick butt, tone up and come to grips with my new body. I took the pictures below on July 26 and today on August 2 a week later I am down another 3 pounds for a grand total of 27 lbs lost since March 1. I have to admit that my original goal 5 months ago was pretty modest, I think I was afraid that I wouldn’t lose the weight so I didn’t want to aim high. But after a successful first month where I lost weight and instantly felt the positive effects from my healthy eating,  I decided to get real. That is when I set a healthy goal range, as opposed to a finite goal weight. I figured life had its ups and downs and surely I could allow myself 2-3 pounds leeway. The thought of reaching a specific goal made me think I’d go nuts if ever I gained even half a pound.

For August I have family visiting from New Zealand as well as our family trip to Disney World at the end of the mont! So I figure it is a good a time as any to start to add back in another meal per day so that I am down to only 1 shake/bar per day. It will give me the chance to get accustomed to healthy meal options for every meal of the day, not just dinner.

I’m excited that I have this last month at my goal weight, and even more excited that I did it the right way – slow and steady with proper nutrition and exercise.  

Weight and Inches Loss Since March 1

  • Weight 187lbs/160lbs
  • Waist 5 inch loss
  • Butt 2.5 inch loss
  • Leg 3.25 inch loss
  • Arms 2 inch loss
  • Chest 5 inch loss

Total weight loss 27 lbs and 17.75 inches

    Wow. You really did a great job with your “weight loss project”. You are an inspiration to all those moms who want to get the weight they want. Wish I could do some workouts too like you. Great job!

    Congrats! That is awesome that you had such a success. I am about to give birth to my third and I have a lot to loose. The only program I used in the past truly successfully was Weight Watchers and I think it is because it allowed me to be balanced and not have to totally give anything up.
