disclosure: This is a sponsored post as part of the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. I have received free products, online support and incentives for participating in the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. My opinions are my own. People following the weight-loss portion of the Shaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week. I am also a Shaklee Independent Distributor.
Can you believe I am already at the end of month 4? I sure can’t and I am truly amazed and happy with how much this program has changed my life, I am already starting to feel sad about it being over – even though I still have 2 months to go. So, I promised myself this month that I wouldn’t babble in the update video, but unfortunately I did! I wasn’t able to edit much, so I will break it down for you below in case you find it too painful to watch.
I talk about the 4 Ps – Plateaus, Perspective, Putting it Out there and Pace.
My weight budged ever so slowly this month, but always a loss, never a gain. So, I don’t know if this is a true plateau. I was hoping to reach the total 20 lb loss this month, but fell just short with a loss of 3.3 lbs this month for a total of 18.5 over 4 months.
The great thing is that I feel strong. Beyond the numbers dropping, feeling strong has always been a goal of me taking part in this program. The pounds are still coming off and I lost an inch in my waist and 1.25 inches on my butt – so that is all good news!
I now weigh 168.5 down from 187 lbs…I can’t remember the last time I was below 180, not to mention 170!
Putting it out there
I’ve wanted to try new healthy pursuits, and just by putting it out there fitness blog opportunities have come my way as well as personal opportunities to run races with friends, try CrossFit, try the Nalini Method, and I have started skipping rope while the kids play outside in the sticky hot weather we have been having. I’m loving this change in my routine and feeling stronger and more energized for it everyday! I’m getting back to my adventurous self and even did Bikram Yoga in Times Square to celebrate Summer Solstice. Oh, and I finally entered a giveaway on one of my favoritest (is that a word?) blogs and actually won a Garmin Forerunner!
I’ve learnt to pace myself literally when it comes to running – ouch to the sore ankle I had but that has quickly recovered. And also in just everyday life. I can’t do it all and I can’t just drop weight super quickly either, but the weight is coming off and it will continue to.
I’m looking for suggestions of new sports, fitness classes to try out, so tell me…
