The Lone Ranger Rides Onto the Big Screen in July 2013

I’m a big fan of Johnny Depp and when you match him with Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski you get action packed movies with beautiful cinematography like the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. So naturally, my ears perked up when I saw that the three were teaming up for The Lone Ranger. Well, let’s just say neither my ears or eyes were disappointed.

Check out the latest trailer and see what you think!

A thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes.  Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

This new version is definitely a departure on an old classic, but it looks like it’s gone in the right direction.

How much you wanna bet there will be lots of kids going as Tonto and the Lone Ranger for Halloween next year?

You can catch up with all the goss around the Lone Ranger on Facebook and Twitter.

  2. Watched this today. The Lone Ranger definitely has one of the best action sequences of the year but that sequence does not make a good movie as a whole. Its long, overly ironic journey there -130 minutes! shows no real love for the source material.
